Terms of Service

Effective date: 10 June 2026  ·  Last updated: 10 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Caller Shield mobile application and related services (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Caller Shield provides caller identification and spam detection. Caller names and spam scores are generated from community contributions and automated scoring, and are provided on a best-effort basis: they may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. The Service is an aid, not a guarantee — always use your own judgment before answering, blocking, or acting on information shown by the app.

2. Accounts and eligibility

3. Your contributions

If you choose to enable contact sync or submit spam reports, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that information as part of the Service (for example, showing a contributed name as the caller ID for a number). You confirm that you are legally entitled to share the information you contribute. Contributions are shown to other users without revealing who contributed them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and remove any contribution at our discretion.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what data we collect and how we handle it. It forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The app, the Service, and everything in them (other than your contributions) are owned by Caller Shield or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of caller identification or spam classification, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. Spam scores are community-derived estimates, not statements of fact about any person or business.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caller Shield will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, to zero).

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Privacy → Delete account & my data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.
